Unfortunately we cannot accept every applicant. Spots available for each trip are determined by the host country’s need and available accommodations.

Non-team Member Travel Policy:
Due to health, safety, and travel considerations, any non-team member wishing to accompany a Surgicorps team member must receive written preapproval from Surgicorps. A maximum of two non-team members may accompany a single team member. All non-team members must be at least 13 years old, and minors aged 13–18 must be supervised by an adult (over the age of 21) at all times.
Team Member Age Minimum :
Due to health, safety, and travel considerations, Surgicorps team members must by 16 years or older, and minors 16-18 must be accompanied by an adult (over the age of 21).
SPEAKERS’ BUREAU
The goal of Surgicorps International’s Speakers’ Bureau is to maximize the ever-increasing resource of experienced volunteers and increase public awareness on a local, national and international level. Speakers will help to educate the public about Surgicorps and motivate them to support its mission as a donor, volunteer or both. A core group of speakers (staff and volunteers) will be available for community meetings or gatherings. Click here to learn more.
SCHOLARSHIPS
The Tony Demos Scholarship, named in memory of a beloved lifetime supporter, donor, and fellow adventurer with Surgicorps, is awarded to team members who demonstrate enthusiasm and willingness to lead patient and/or community education initiatives on missions. The nature of these initiatives vary between trip locations, and may grow or change based on feedback and need at each site. Training and supplies will be provided. Recipients also have opportunity for active roles in other areas, when not leading education initiatives. This scholarship provides up to $2,500 toward the recipient’s trip expenses.
The LELF (Linda Esposto Legacy Fund) Award is named in honor of our first Executive Director of Surgicorps, Linda Esposto. It is awarded to volunteers who have shown sustained commitment to Surgicorps’ Mission and exemplary teamwork during trips. Recipients fill critical-need positions on trips and/or provide key support to team leaders and coordinators. This award provides full or 50% coverage of average trip expenses per site.
The SMYL (Student Medical Youth Leadership) Scholarship is awarded to students of the medical, dental, PA, or nursing professions, who have a genuine interest in international service and want to incorporate this into their future careers. This scholarship provides $1000 towards the recipient’s trip costs.
